Ethos

“Is it hard? Not if you have the right attitudes. Its having the right attitudes that’s hard.” ― Robert M. Pirsig, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

Don’t let your lack of confidence or experience working with your hands be an obstacle. David believes that with patience, focus and an open mind, virtually anybody can learn new skills.

The courses are crammed with information and hands on practice so that you not only learn something new but leave feeling confident in how to achieve high quality results.

Most of the courses are project based so you will come away with a beautiful finished piece at the end of your course.

Reviews

"‘The best birthday ever’ - my mum's comment at the end of our floating shelf workshop day. We had such a lovely time and learnt so much. David was so helpful and attentive, everything was explained and demo’d and he made time for all our questions. We would totally recommend this course to anyone looking for expert guidance in a relaxed setting."

Allie and Mary

It was lovely to get out of the city and so interesting to learn how to make something from scratch. The pendant looks simple, but there were many different stages, the use of different tools and machinery, to arrive at the finished product. David is informative, patient, his teaching was interwoven with interesting facts, chats, guidance and support. You will not be disappointed.

"I found the course excellent. David is a very good and knowledgeable teacher. The one day course gave me more than just a floating shelf. It gave me an introduction to new woodworking skills and the confidence to develop them further."
